NICOLE S. joined SOS in 2016 as a transport volunteer. After reading about SOS in a Canadian Living article, she just had to get involved. Her first-ever transport was picking up Fred & Ginger from the airport and bringing them to their fosters, and she has been growing with the team ever since. Transport, foster, foster counsellor, event volunteer, spay-and-neuter volunteer…she has worn many SOS hats over the years. She’s got a love for dogs, a passion to help and a background in education (human education, that is) — all of which has made her the perfect fit for her current role co-managing the Scruff Team. Her love for learning is the driving force behind everything she does, and she’s got a knack for educating our community on all things dog understanding. Whether she’s hosting training sessions, or chatting with fosters one-on-one when they need some extra help, she is there for you.
When she’s not leading the Scruff Team, you can bet Nicole S. is probably somewhere taking notes in her notebook (did we mention she loves learning?) or spending time with her family, including her dog, Penny, who loves to show her face on Zoom.
