We’re excited to announce our new rescue rep ambassador program. This has been developed out of our passion for bringing rescue dog representation to the forefront of our community. We want rescue dogs to be seen so that when people are thinking about bringing a dog into their life, they think of rescuing as their first option. By increasing representation, we can help increase knowledge and understanding of what it means to rescue a dog.

HOW IT WORKS

We have a few different ambassador types:

1. Save our Scruff Merch: Do you have an Instagram following that would love to see you sport Save our Scruff merch? We'd love to work with you to offer a discount code to your followers to inspire them to support Save our Scruff through our merch which in turn helps us, help our dogs. One requirement for this option is you MUST be good at taking your own photos.
*note: this is the only ambassador type where we are accepting applications for those who haven't adopted or fostered with Save our Scruff*

2. Dog models: Do you have a scruff that loves being in front of the camera? We often have brands or partners reach out to us looking for rescue dogs to take part in photoshoots. We are looking for ambassadors who have scruff alumni that would be great in this environment to go to photoshoots on our behalf and represent rescue dogs!

3. Event/Media Appearances: Do you have a scruff that is comfortable in social environments? We'd love to consider you for this ambassador option. Often the events and media appearances we are a part are based in Toronto/GTA so it would be great if you had access to a car. Some examples of an event is you would go to a screening of a movie where beforehand they are having a M&G with Save our Scruff alumni to learn more about us. For media appearances, this could look like being interviewed on TV about adoption. If you are comfortable speaking to rescue and Save our Scruff and you have a scruff alumni who is good in these environments, this would be a great option for you!
*This role is also open to active SOS fosters who'd be willing to bring their foster pups to adoption segments or adoption events, pending their foster doing being comfortable in these environments*
