GEMMA joined Save Our Scruff in 2023 as Scruff Team Admin. But her journey with this rescue began a year before, when her family adopted a scruff named Philip from the Cayman Islands. He was a nervous dog, and Save Our Scruff helped support her family through some of the challenges to help Philip live his best life. She wanted to join the team so she could play a small role in helping other dogs find the same success.

Outside Save Our Scruff, Gemma enjoys HIIT (high intensity interval training), hiking, watching reality TV, making (and eating!) breakfast, and spending time outside with her family. In addition to Philip, she and her partner Tyler have another scruff named Jasper, and twin boys and a daughter!
