Libby is a sweet, eager-to-please 10-month-old pup who is full of potential! She's currently 35lbs and growing but will likely stay medium sized. She’s a fast learner who loves making eye contact and seeks guidance from her humans. Whether she’s learning new rules, playing with toys, or snuggling after a long day, Libby is a loving companion who wants to be the best dog she can be.
Personality: Libby is a flamboyant & curious girl who enjoys being around her people and learning from them. She completely loves being a second dog in her foster home. She's gentle, playful and team oriented. She could also be a solo dog in the home but do well with social meet ups with dogs friends. Libby has a playful side and loves her zoomies, but she can easily be settled with a toy or gentle redirection. She’s also learning to be more gentle with her mouth and responds quickly to “no bites,” replacing nips with sweet licks.
Ideal Day: Libby’s day starts with a toy-filled breakfast, where she plays with her treat ball for added enrichment. She enjoys walks where she’s no longer pulling or acting out, and she’s learning to approach other dogs and people more calmly. Her favorite activities include independent play with a toy, cuddling with her humans, and getting belly rubs before bed. Libby is house-trained and asks to go outside by waiting at the door.
Other Pets: Libby does well with other dogs and enjoys observing and learning from them. While she loves to poke at the cats, she can be redirected with consistent training. She is curious and respectful but needs some guidance to help her understand boundaries. So dog savvy cats and/or dogs are a-okay with her!
Ideal Home: Libby would thrive in a family home (young kids can work, guidance always) or with another dog. She’s a quick learner, so with some patience and consistency, she’ll become an even more well-behaved companion. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving pup, Libby is your girl!
