Announcement: A sweet senior is seeking a loving home! Catarino (or Reno for short) is a 10-year-old, 46 lb mixed breed with a gentle, laid-back personality. This affectionate senior loves short walks, naps, and plenty of attention.
Personality: Catarino is sweet, independent, & well-mannered. He loves belly rubs and cuddling up on his bed after a short walk. While a bit reserved at first, he has moments of goofy energy. Catarino is housebroken, crate-trained, and walks well on a leash with guidance.
Ideal Day: Catarino enjoys 20-30 minute walks after each mealtime, naps, and lots of love. He’s easy-going and adapts well to a relaxed routine. He’d be happiest in a home that appreciates his chill lifestyle and gives him lots of love!
Other Pets: Catarino has met other dogs and is generally calm around them. He does have some prey drive and may chase squirrels or bunnies, so he’d be best with dog savvy cats or no cats. He’d do well with another calm dog or a dog that gives him space to do his own thing.
Skills: Catarino is still learning some commands and has a slow recall, but he’s intelligent and picks up routines quickly. He’s fine being left alone for workday hours and enjoys his crate.
Ideal Home: He’s really a good boy and suitable for a variety of homes, as long as there is lots of love, time to nap and thoughtful care <3 He’s fine being left alone during the day and would be a great fit for someone with a 9-5 schedule. He’d do well in a calm environment with adults or older kids. He’s good with guests and is fine in a social home.
Fun Fact: Catarino doesn’t have front teeth, so his tongue sticks out—adorable!
