KRIS started at Save Our Scruff in 2021 as an Alumni Counsellor. She was looking to support a rescue organization in her community that was doing meaningful work to find loving homes for dogs. She found the perfect fit in her current role, where she lends her experience training her own rescue dog, Waska.

Outside of Save Our Scruff, Kris loves camping, hiking, and travelling. Fun fact: Kris works at a drop-in centre in the downtown core that serves the elder homeless community — and Waska tags along as a beloved office dog!
