KATIE started with Save Our Scruff in 2015 as a foster. That experience gave her an opportunity to test out how the responsibility of caring for a dog would fit in with her life. (Spoiler alert: it was a perfect fit.) After foster-failing and adopting her scruff Belle, she wanted to help more dogs coming into foster care — which led her to her current role as Foster Coordinator and Scruff Team Lead. Her experience as a therapist has really helped her in the “counsellor” side of her Save Our Scruff role.
Outside of Save Our Scruff, Katie is happiest when she’s travelling, sipping wine, and spending time with her dog Belle.
