Male | 1 Year Old | 45lbs | Puppy Energy | Good exposure with other dogs | No cat exposure | Good exposure with dog-savvy kids | From Mexico | Fostered in Toronto | Playful, attentive & loving
Neon is a gentle and affectionate 45lb, 1-year-old dog with a calm and loving personality. He’s quick to bond with his humans and enjoys being near them, whether it’s for cuddles or a game of fetch. Neon is an easygoing dog who adapts well to new routines and environments. He loves his toys and is particularly fond of squeaky and crinkle toys or sticks will do, which he’ll entertain himself with for short bursts before seeking attention from his family.
Since arriving in his foster home, Neon has made great progress. Initially fearful of floors and stairs, he now navigates the house with confidence and happily follows his foster family around. He’s housebroken and crate trained with routine, and he’s learned to ask for outdoor potty breaks by running to the door.
Neon loves people, kids included. He’s gentle with children he's met (aged 8+) and enjoys meeting new people, though he can be excitable and may jump up when greeting them. He’s also been good with other dogs, though he’s more interested in people than in playing with other pups. Neon would be just as happy as the only dog in the home but a dog companion works too.
While he’s not overly excitable, Neon does have some prey drive and can be distracted by squirrels or birds. He’s a quick learner and is currently being trained on basic commands, although he’s still mastering "sit" and "stay." He’d do well in a home with someone who can provide consistent growth.
Neon is a delightful, affectionate companion who would thrive in a home where he can get regular exercise, mental stimulation, and plenty of love. Like all pups. He’s a people dog who will quickly become your best friend and loyal companion.
Ideal Home: Neon would do well with a single person or family who can give him attention, structure, and patience as he continues to learn and grow. He’s beginning to get super curious and maybe that will lead him to finding his forever home!
